I love art! In a perfect world I would have loved to be an architect or a singer, in a rock band of course! But I do not draw very well, I do not like confined spaces and I cannot sing!! I do have a good eye for the nicer things and I have a good ear as well.
I have come to realize that upcycling is pretty much like mixing the music you like. You are not really composing, or creating something in the lines of a sculpture, but you are still creating something really cool, and making so much out of something that may have been so little to start with.
Another thing I love about mixing and upcycling the objects I fall in love with, is that you do not have to take yourself too seriously…
…it’s more about having fun. I do it because I love it, not because I have to.
Reclaiming items has a plus that makes it even better, you’re also helping out the planet. Not many things in life are cool, fun and good for all of us.
So my advise to you, if I were to leave tomorrow! hahahaha, I hope not. Is to have fun as you mix and match the things that you love in life. And if you can do some good along the way, well even better!
Revampt’s reclaimed home furnishings
Daniel Louis decided to take a different approach to the green revolution. Instead of focusing broadly on the ever increasing number of “eco-friendly” products, Daniel has chosen to focus on products made from resources already in existence. Our reclaimed home furnishings are individually selected for their utility, creativity, and unique re-purposed nature. Our incredible home products are fabricated from the most unsuspecting raw materials; bicycle wheels, sails, tires, dilapidated machinery, and more.
