Don’t let it scare you, Revampt Goods can get your winter abode in tiptop shape! Spring symbolizes new life and fresh beginnings, which is how you can feel about your home after you’ve de-cluttered! We have a few tips to get you geared up for the spring cleaning of your home.

Conquer Your Clutter

Asses the situation. Are there piles of things that need to be recycled, or just drawers that need to be sorted? Do you have clothes that need to be donated in the closets? Begin with a game plan. You don’t have to do everything in one day- set goals to accomplish rooms by days. Start with the largest, or most used room in your home.

Cleaning Essentials

Have a cleaning checklist for each room in the house. The checklist will probably vary room to room, such as, don’t forget to flip and air mattresses in bedrooms, versus the kitchen check list which would include cleaning the refrigerator. Your basic room checklist could look something like this:

Vacuum floor

Dust Furniture

Dust Baseboards

Clean Windows, inside and out

Dry Clean Curtains or Vacuum

Stain Treat Carpet and Upholstery

Clean Light Fixture

ReUse and Recycle

Once you have de-cluttered and have a pile of non usable items, decide whether you can repurpose them or need to donate. This could include dishes, kitchen gadgets, clothes, books, magazines, home décor, old electronics and anything plastic. Offer some items for sale on Craigslist, or donate through Freecycle.
