Revampt Goods sells reclaimed, recycled and repurposed furniture, right here in Cherry Creek, just minutes from downtown Denver. Our products are made from resources already in existence. Recycling is an important aspect of our business. Recycling is not only good for the environment it also conserves energy! It takes less energy to create something new from recycled materials than to create a brand new product from raw materials. If you haven’t begun recycling at home, we give you a few simple ways you can begin today! If you have been recycling for years, we also have a few new ways to make recycling even easier!
What To Recycle
To begin, place these items below in a separate trash receptacle. Paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum can all be recycled.
Remove as much food as possible before recycling aluminum used for food storage. Foil bags, such as potato chip bags are not to be recycled.
Office paper, junk mail, newspapers, magazines or phone books are a few of the major paper items Denver receives to recycle. When recycling paper, be sure to remove plastic bags and wraps, as well as food wrappings or any food items.
Plastics are marked with recycling codes, numbers 1 thru 7. The number is typically found on the bottom or inside of product. Denver accepts all numbers 1 through 7. Examples of these products would be soda, water or shampoo bottles, milk or detergent jugs, plastic food refrigerator tubs and egg cartons are a few. Items Denver does not accept are plastic bags, lids or caps, plastic toys or anything marked as PLA.
Recycle food and beverage glass only, be sure to remove lids beforehand! No window glass or glass vases are allowed to be recycled. Rinse well before recycling!
Modify Buying Habits
Modify your buying habits, by choosing recyclable packaging, you are helping to save the environment! Choose non packaged goods as alternatives. Instead of purchasing water bottles, buy one reusable container and refill with filtered water.
Make Recycled Art
Offer your recyclable goods to a local artist who makes art from recycled material, such as some of the products in Revampt Goods.
Composting is one of the simplest and most effective recycling methods. You can compost by putting your garden cuttings and food scraps from the kitchen into an outdoor composter. These biological nutrients decompose and return to the soil.
