Run for a Cause
There are 3 races going on this year, all in benefit of different good causes. Get up early and start your Thanksgiving Day with the right foot!
Turkey Day 5K: supports the Colorado National Guard Foundation.
Where: Shea Stadium at Redstone Park. 3270 Redstone Park Circle, Highlands Ranch. The race starts at 9am sharp and this year the Colorado National Guard Foundation will be hosting a pancake breakfast. Read more about this event.
11th Annual Turkey Rock Trot
Where: Douglas County Fairgrounds and Events Center, 500 Fairgrounds Dr., Castle Rocks. This year’s race is about giving back to the community and all proceeds will benefit the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. Read more about this race.
Harvesting Hope 5K: Supports fight against Childhood Obesity and Prader-Willi Syndrome
Where: Stapleton Central Park, 8801 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Children are invited to run free the 1K event. Read more about this race.
The Lion King
Where: The Buell Theater, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1101 13th St. Disney’s The Lion King will have several appearances until Sunday November 29. Tickets: $30. Don’t miss the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, one of Broadway’s most thrilling shows!
Shrek, the Musical
Where: Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 West Main St., Littleton. Tickets: $25 – $44. The green ogre is back, and will be presenting until December 27th.
Thanksgiving Buffet at Downtown Aquarium
Opening at 10am, Downtown Aquarium (700 Water St.) will be having its Thanksgiving Buffet including carved turkey, cornbread stuffing, house-made cranberry sauce, incredible desserts, omelet station, pasta station, kid’s buffet and more.
