4 Creative Ways To Recycle a Wooden Pallet!
Revampt Goods in Cherry Creek offers reclaimed home furnishings and upcycled unique gifts. We take a different approach to the green revolution. We make products from resources already in existence! In today’s post, we show you 4 creative ways to recycle a wood pallet!
Make a vertical planter box out of a wood pallet! Hang these inside or outside for some added greenery. Depending on the condition of your pallet, all it typically takes is adding an extra piece of timber for the shelf. As in all pallet projects, be sure to give it a good sanding beforehand to remove split wood. Paint it the color you desire and fill with your favorite succulents or greenery!
Need some patio furniture? Find some pallets! The beauty of this project is you can create a custom solution for your space by cutting them to fit into your particular dimensions. By stacking pallets of the same size, you can achieve the height you desire. Simply have cushions made or make some yourself to fit the depth and width of your lounge chair. Custom patio furniture!
Hanging Plate Rack
Also simple, this project can be completed in an afternoon! Begin by prepping your pallet, sanding and staining to desired color. Add a horizontal shelf or two and hang the pallet on the wall. This looks especially good with white china against the stained wood background!
A Shoe Rack
Ever thought of transforming the ever-so- popular wooden pallet into a shoe rack? Cut it in half and stand on end, so lateral slats are horizontal. Stick the toes of the shoes into the slats. If the slats are set too far apart, you may need to remove and re-adjust with a few nails. Be sure to give the pallet a good sanding beforehand, though!
